The Fen Witch of Goosefeather Split is a novella that is equal parts a coming of age horror and supernatural mystery, set across the 80s the 90s and the modern day.
Ever since a childhood encounter with the Fen Witch of Goosefeather Split, Charlie has been plagued by nightmares in which she rises from the marsh.
Many years later, when he receives a call in the middle of the night which interrupts one of these nightmares, Charlie realises that he must return to the witch’s domain. But there’s only one person worse than the witch in Wretford: his father.

If you would like to read The Fen Witch of Goosefeather Split, there are two formats available. The novella will be released on Amazon as an ebook next week, on Friday 26th March. It may go live before that, but from the 26th and over the weekend, the ebook will be available for free (as long as Amazon plays ball). There will be regular opportunities to pick up the ebook without cost over the course of the rest of the year. Otherwise it will be set to whatever minimum price Amazon lets me set. I wrote this book so people could access my work at a low cost. I’m not putting it up from pre-order, because then you’ll be changed, ad I’d like to give this to those of you who are quick. If you do pick it up nothing though, a review would be a nice payment.
If you would like a physical copy, only 100 of these will ever exist. Each will be numbered, and signed.
Now I’m not expecting to shift 100 copies any time soon, but I’m hoping at some point in the future events will happen again, and I’d like to have something I can sell that’s not available from Amazon, and can be sold at an affordable price.
The sale price of the novella is £2.50 in person. I’m happy to mail these out. The novella is thin enough to pass as a ‘large letter’ so UK postage and packaging will be £2.00. So you can have this novella arrive on your doorstep in the UK for a grand total of £4.50. I will post to other areas, but I’ll have to look up postage costs. I’ve checked the USA, and that’s around £4.50, so the total cost would be £7.00.
The best way to reserve yourself a copy is to contact me directly via social media. Either a direct message through Facebook Messenger or Twitter will be seen by me, and then I’ll get in touch, and we’ll arrange payment by either bank transfer or Paypal. If you’re really local, I’m happy to drop a book off to you!
There are probably things I’ve not thought of. This is my first time formatting and selling a book myself, so there are bound to be issues, but I’m very happy with the proof copy I have (see image above) and you know what, I think it’s a pretty cool story.
