Following the much-delayed completion of the second round, we’re ready to continue with the Cage Off as the last sixteen teams play off for a place in the quarter-finals. With the recent success of Longlegs, a lot of people have awoken to the enigma that is Nicolas Cage. What better way to explore his back catalogue than this competition in which the 52 Nicolas Cage films I watched in 2023 are pitted against each other. From 52, we’re down to a mere 16, with 36 films having been defeated. Among them are some blockbusters such as National Treasure and Ghost Rider as well underrated movies that faced a tough draw, such as Butcher’s Crossing USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.
The round of 16 comprises 8 ties which will be played out over two updates. So, what do we have?

There are far more close calls between films in this round than the previous, with only a couple of walkovers I envision. Find out who makes it through from the left-hand side of the draw next time.
