Introducing Chase Tatham

Chase Tatham is the author of the Bryan Knight action thriller series. The first novel, Bear Witness, was released in 2021. The rest will emerge one day.
Bear Witness

Bear Witness opens with Yellowstone Park Ranger Chet Adams hunting for a bear that has troubled some Chinese Diplomants. He soon realised that he’s the one in trouble when another shot is fired, the exact same time as he fires his weapon.
That Chinese Diplomat has been assassinated, and Chet’s in the frame for him murder. There’s only one way they can clear his name. Find the bear, with Chet’s bullet lodged in it’s shoulder. And there’s only one man with the will and the skill capable of tracking down this bear witness, Chet’s former mentee, Bryan Knight, a man whose hands and feet are registered as deadly weapons.
But Knight also has a price on his head. Someone high-up in the UK Government wants him dead, and his meddling in foreign affairs has him again in their sights. Can he find the bear and save his friend and one time mentor, or will the sinister agents that have made his life hell for the last decade finally bring him down?
This fast-paced, action thriller will astound, amaze and entertain you. It can be purchased here.
My Pseudonym

Unlike some people, I’m not afraid to share details about my pseudonym. As you can tell from above, it’s been a while since Bear Witness was released, and I’ve struggled a lot to get the plot for The Right to Bear Arms working. It’s difficult when you share a brain with another and they don’t give you the freedom you need. While finally allowed the time to sit down and write, something else escaped my brain, something devilish, something evil, something macabre.
I couldn’t very well release it under the name Chase Tatham, so I needed a pseudonym, a clever play on words that would leave reader in no doubt that this was me, while being very different to the Chase Tatham novels, and lo and behold, C. Spook Tatham was born. As I’m sure you can guess, the C. stands for Chase. That’s right! It’s me!
And launching on the 24th October is my first novella, that gruesome tale mentioned above. It’s called It Came From the Pothole.
It Came From the Pothole

It was a day like any other on this sleepy Fenland B-Road, a route oft used by the good people of Little Elmswood to go about their daily business, good people like Rami, who just wants to put in a good shift at the box factory, Jessica, who’d love to get her son Alec to nursery on time, and Gary, once part of the council’s force of road gritters, now reduced to working boss carry out repairs on the local highways.
But one of those potholes has been left too long, has grown too deep. The crust between out fair earth and the hideous underworld has grown thin.
From the pothole emerges a creature awoken for the first time in aeons and it’s hungry, so very, very hungry.
